Our Hive Tour allows you to suit up, in the safety of our provided bee suits, and enjoy the humming of thousands of honeybees, up close and personal. While exploring the inside of a hive, you will learn about the hive components, as well as the life of the honeybee colony.
Once you signup for a Hive Tour, our beekeeper will contact you to schedule a session. A completed liability waiver will be required, before the session begins. This waiver will be emailed to you, as well as additional information to prepare you for the experience.
Your Hive Tour will include:
- Introduction to Beekeeping
- A Hands-on Hive Inspection, with the Beekeeper
- A Photo Opportunity
- Question/Answer session
- A Beginning Beekeeper Equipment List
- A Recommended Resource List
- A Pollinator Friendly Plant List
- Bottled Water
We believe that one-on-one or small group instruction (2-6 individuals) is most beneficial for learning. Children are welcome, age 8+, unless other arrangements have been made with the beekeeper. Each session will last approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
Scheduling: To schedule an educational experience, visit our Contact Us page. Please leave your name, contact information and the Educational Experience(s) you are interested in. Our beekeeper will contact you with all of the exciting details.
